This installation proposes several instances of encounter through my involvement over several months with a group of exiled Sudanese living near the port of Ouistreham. Around sixty migrants, settled near the port, try to reach England via ferries leaving the Normandy port three times a day.
As an outsider to the situation, I first adopted an observer's role and then took part in the distribution of a voluntary association, CAMO (Collectif d'aide aux migrants de Ouistreham), whose members organize weekly distributions of food and basic necessities to immigrants. Through my regular involvement with them, I tried to interact with and get to know them.

J’ai pris les images de certains articles de presse comme référence et j’ai construit un corps générique dans mes dessins en traçant de manière répétitive la silhouette des gestes à travers des couches transparentes.
The installation projects a conjunction of my preconceptions, investigations and encounters over two months of engagement. Inducing opportunities for a reading of the context, it invites discussion.
