This project concerns an intervention on the notion of “time” and “space”.
I started this project by looking for historical references of the current building of our school (ésam-caen) and I came across a project (Chantier-2007/2009) of Christophe Bouder, one of our teachers at ésam. I took my references from his photographs and started to develop some drawings from them. I traced the shapes of the human figures in action directly from my computer screen onto paper and filled it with iron rust water.
The idea of the ‘worker’ as a community identity and the lack of any distinctive value in terms of involvement in industrial production or construction prompted me to draw these anonymous forms of silhouettes of bodies at work.
